I LOVE the new doctor! She is so funny and gave us sooo much information. She didn't pretend to know how to pronounce Tiernan's name, and made sure she asked and got it right. They escorted us straight to the back since he doesn't have his 2 month shots yet. She saw us when we were scheduled and we didn't have to wait. They have a diapering area in the office. The staff was nice. I like it here. She even told us about her name (she married her highschool sweatheart).
Tiernan's jaundice is pretty bad. We had to get blood drawn to test it today, and he was a 20. The doctor said we have to feed him every 90 minutes today, and then come back tomorrow for another test. If it doesn't go down, then we have to go to the hospital and be admitted. She said to bring our things and be prepared for that. I'm a mess. Part of me wants him to be admitted to get the treatment and let this stop being an issue, and part of me is really really scared of it all. I just want him to be ok! She did tell us that his newborn screening came back ok, and the Group B did not affect him. That was a huge relief.
Uncle Bryan and Uncle Don came over today to meet Tiernan! He loved snuggling up with them. My sweet boy. <3
